Two cars collide at Kyekyebiase

An unregistered Hyundai Elantra with a DV 6106B-20 plate and a Daewoo Matiz Taxi with registration number: AW1373-20 were last night collided at Kyekyebiase off the Asante Akyem Agogo road in the Ashanti Region.

The accident, which occurred around 9:30 p.m., in the evening, did not record any deaths.

Some of the passengers in the Taxi sustained various degrees of injuries.

The accident saw the face of the Taxi mangled and with its windscreen broken. The Hyundai Elantra, on the other hand, which rather hit the taxi was badly damaged.

According to the eye witnesses, the collusion even made them believe that some of the passengers in both vehicles had lost their lives. They indicated that they were however amazed when after approaching the two cars they realized that all the passengers were alive but suffered minor injuries.

As at the time that Adanse3 FM arrived at the accident spot, a large crowd of people had besieged the two cars with some thanking Almighty God that none of the passengers died from that fatal accident. Some of the people also had some harsh criticism for the Taxi driver whom everyone seems to blame for the cause of the accident.

The Police were at the scene to help direct traffic and to maintain law and order.

The cars are yet to be towed off the road to prevent traffic this morning.
