Pupils of Nsonyameye D/A Primary School study in dreadful wooden structures-Peter Abaje, Assemblyman
Pupils of Nsonyameye D/A primary school in the Asante Akyem North District in the Ashanti Region have been forced to study in dreadful wooden structures due to the lack of infrastructure in the school.
The school is currently battling with infrastructural problems which have had adverse effects on the performance of the pupils. The pupils do not concentrate during class and their attention is always directed towards the noice made by moving vehicles and motorbikes.
According to authorities of the school, this situation has made it difficult for both teachers and pupils to carry out their daily teaching and learning activities.
Amo Adjeiwaa, a class four pupils speaking to Adanse3 News appealed to the government, NGOs and individuals to come to their aid.
Hajara Seidu, a Teacher in the school, said the situation impedes teaching progression and wastes time too during teaching. She called on individuals and the traditional authorities to come to their assistance.
Meanwhile the assistants headmaster of Nsonyameye D/A primary School, Toffic Salami, said the current situation in the school is very worrying and they are handicapped too.
The Assembly Member for Ananekrom Electoral Area, Hon. Peter Abaje, sympathized with the school and the stakeholders pleaded with the District Assembly to visit the school and address their infrastructural challenge.
