Plans are underway for VAR in a year or two - GFA
The Ghana Football Association has hinted that plans are advance to acquire Video Assistance Referee gadgets to help officiating in Ghana.
In a lecture to media men at the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Hall, the Information Technology director for the Ghana Football Association, Mr Francis Adu Esah hinted that plans to get the now globally accepted refereeing gadgets into our football are well advanced and in a year or two, Ghana football will be using the gadgets to aid in officiating.
"In the quest to help our officiating officials and eradicate controversies from our game as being done globally, we have been in contact with FIFA and CAF and I can tell you that we are in the process of bringing in the VAR to Ghana in about a year or two"
