No Complecency, Step out and Vote - President Akufo-Addo tells People of Twifo Praso

President Akufo-Addo has cautioned the people of Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti Makwa Constituency of the Central Region and by extension all potential voters in the country, not to conclude that he [Akufo-Addo] has already won and by so doing, fail to step out to vote on election day, the 7th December 2020.

President Akufo-Addo gave the word of caution when he addressed attendees of the commissioning ceremony of the Twifo Atti-Morkwa 60 bed District hospital as part of his three day campaign tour of the Central Region.

"On the 7th of December, no one should stay home. Take your voter identification care, go to you polling Station and vote. The Electoral Commission has put in place a solid arrangement that will make voting very easy for everyone" President Akufo-Addo noted.

"No one should entertain the thought that Nana [President Akufo-Addo] has already won this election. Until you vote, I (Nana) has not won yet, so everyone of you should make it a point to step out to vote so I can have the big victory we all want in order to work for progress of the country" President Akufo-Addo further stated.

*A Case for NPP Parliamentary Candidate*

President Akufo-Addo in his remarks made a strong case for the people of Twifo Atti-Morkwa Constituency to vote for the NPP's Parliamentary Candidate for the area, Ebenezer Obeng Dwamen, on the 7th of December 2020.

The Twifo Atti-Morkwa constituency was created in 2012 out of the Lower Denkyira constituency with the opposition NDC winning that constituency from then until 2016 when the NPP snatched it from them through the incumbent MP Abraham Dwuma Odoom.

But after just a term in office as MP, Mr. Odoom lost the primaries of his party to former Presiding Member of the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District Assembly, Ebenezer Obeng Dwamen, who on the day of his election vowed to work hard to retain the seat and even increase the 2016 margin in the 2020 parliamentary elections.
