Nana Akoffo-Addo Rewards heroic Black Satellites team

The players of U-20 national team of Ghana, with the technical team had the privilege of meeting the President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo at the Flagstaff House to present the Africa U-20 championship they won to him. 

The Black Satellites of Ghana on March 6, 2021 met the Hippos of Uganda in the final game of the CAF U-20 tournament in Mauritania.

The Karim Zito led team defeated their Ugandan counterparts by two goals to zero to win the golden trophy.

As part of the president's congratulatory message, the Ghanaian U-20 contingent received an amount of $10,000 each from the the first gentleman of the land as his appreciation for the team's monumental effort by winning the ultimate prize of the tournament and making mother Ghana proud in Mauritania.

In addition to $10, 000 package, the commander in chief made personal donations of $5,000 each to the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, Issahaku Fatau, Goalkeeper, Danlad Ibrahim and the team's Captain, Afriyie Barnie as well as the head Coach, Karim Zito . 

The Satellites would also enjoy a 10-year investment plan worth $5,000. This will serve as a motivation to other National teams in the Country whenever they represent the nation in any tournament.
