Late Wuogon MP's first wife dies of COVID-19

The first wife of the late Member of Parliament (MP) for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Josephine Baiden Agyarko, has died due to COVID-19.

The late MP’s wife died while receiving treatment for COVID-19.

Mrs Agyarko is reported to have been recovering until a relapse occurred which led to her death.

Confirming the news of her death, family of the deceased requested for privacy to mourn.

She left behind two children.

The late MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Emmanuel Kyeremanteng Agyarko, died in November 2018.

Meanwhile, 9 more people have succumbed to COVID-19 in Ghana.

This takes the country's total death toll to 449.

Some 791 new cases have also been confirmed, taking the active caseload to 6,095.

So far, a total of 70,046 cases have been detected since March 2020.

Out of that number, 63,502 have recovered.
