I don’t make political promises –Asante Akyem North NDC candidate

Parliamentary candidate contesting on the ticket of the National Democratic ,Alhaji Sulley Adam Yusif in the Asante Akim North constituency of the Ashanti Region has stated that he does not make political promises but actually delivers on his plans to his constituents.

He said Asante Akim North constituency has been neglected in terms of development for long and it was time to vote for the NDC to experience was real development meant. Speaking to supporters after touring the constituency with the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah and other Ashanti Regional Executives of the party, the aspiring Member of Parliament (MP) revealed that he would work with the people to define a clear agenda so that "we can together identify and prioritize the needs of the constituency and make it better than we find today".

So far the people are impressed with me and I hope I am given the opportunity come December 7 to do more. I am very passionate about this constituency because I live here and can feel their problems, unlike the incumbent MP, Andy Appiah Kubi who lives in Accra and only shows up here during elections,” he added. Touching on how he would reduce unemployment among the youth in the area when voted into power, indicated that NDC would be made available for interested person who wish to be trained in fashion design, engineering, masonery and plumbing among others.

He stressed on the significance of youth empowerment, saying “If the youth of the country are not empowered, then the future of the nation will be in danger.”
