Govt not interested in fighting corruption - ISODEC

The Akufo-Addo led government has not enough to fighting corruption among government appointees, according to the Executive Director of Integrated Social Development Centre (ISODEC), Dr Steve Manteaw.

This comes after Ghanaians and Civil Society Organizations are mounting pressure on the government to take a second look into the controversial Agyapa Minerals Royalties deal which involves a newphew of President Akufo-Addo, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko

In the interview, the former Chairman of the Public Interest and Accountability Committee however expressed disappointment in the Akufo-Addo-led government for losing the fight against corruption

He stressed that the government has not shown any commitment in the fight against corruption which has engulfed the country.

He stated that voting in the upcoming December polls is like choosing between an armed robber and a thief.

“Both NDC and NPP are thieves so the 2020 elections we are only going to choose between an armed robber and a thief"
