All toll booth causing traffic to be relocated

The Minister of Roads and Highways, Hon Kwasi Amoako Attah, has announced that all toll booths causing traffic on our major trunk roads will be relocated to ease the current discomfort and inconveniences to drivers and commuters.

Hon Amoako Attah said this in an interaction with journalists after he inspected Kubease toll booth on the Accra-Kumasi highway which has been temporarilyclosed down for Ghana Highway Authority to carry out emergency repair works.

The closure took immediate effect, according to a press statement dated Monday, November 9, 2020, signed and issued by the Chief Executive officer of the GHA, Nicholas D. Brown.

Hon Amoako Attah said, the toll booth has become an albatross around the necks of commuters who are compelled to endure long hours in traffic on daily basis.

However,Commuters, residents, toll collectors and traders on stretch of the highways in the country have been expressing worry over the negative impact ofsome of these projects on their daily activities on the road.
