Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi, the MP for Asante-Akyem North Constituency has promised that the commencement of construction of the 10-kilometre Asante Akyem Agogo town roads will begin within two weeks.
According to him, he was aware that the residents of Agogo were not pleased with the terrible road networks and were eager to see the roads constructed.
The MP, who gave an address, stated that he would make sure all the bad roads were given a facelift to help in the movement of people and goods. Speaking on Sunday at a durbar to mark the maiden edition of the Golden Plantain Festival in Asante Akyem Agogo, the MP who doubles as the deputy Minister of railway development, said he will make sure all the Kumasi roads are fixed very soon.
Residents of Asante Akyem Agogo have been wailing over what they say are the many broken promises by the MP.
The anger of the residents has been stretched to the limit and are threatening to hoot at him if he comes to the area to campaign ahead of the 2020 elections.
A week ago, residents wanted to hit the streets to demonstrate over the unfulfilled promises.
They claim other projects, including classroom blocks, library facilities all of which were promised by him are yet to be fulfilled
